townsville

we arrived in townsville last night after a 6 hour coach journey and went for a meal at a place called 'hog's breath cafe', they did really nice iced chocolate!

on the way here greg saw a crocodile in a river!!! i didn't see it and was very jealous but glad we were on a coach and not walking across the bridge!

the holiday inn was really nice, the most comfy bed we have stayed in all trip!

today we are, again, waiting to travel down the coast, this time on a train to airlie beach. the train takes 4 hours plus a twenty minute bus journey once there, so we expect to get to our accommodation around 9pm.

airlie beach is supposed to be quite a lively town and there are a few clubs and things near by... which will be quite different from yorkeys knob!

dib (lucy allen's sister) is currently living in sydney but is coming up to the whitsunday area tomorrow so we will try and meet up with her along the way.
